Lucy Taksa PhD is Professor of Management, Deakin Business School, Deputy Director, Deakin Centre for Refugee Employment, Advocacy, Training and Education (CREATE), co-Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Industrial Relations and Board member of the Multicultural Communities Council of NSW. Previously she was Director of the Industrial Relations Research Centre at UNSW (2000-09), the Centre for Workforce Futures at Macquarie University (2018-Jan 2021), Head of the Department and Associate Dean at UNSW (2002-06) and at Macquarie (Aug. 2009-2018) and on the Australian Research Council College of Experts (2014-16). Externally she was a part-time member of the NSW Administrative Decisions Tribunal Equal Opportunity Division (1996-Feb. 2007) and Legal Services Division (2003-Feb. 2007), Board Chair of the NSW State Records and Archives (Feb. 2007-12) and a Non-Executive Board member of Settlement Services Ltd. Lucy has published on the past, present and future of work, management, employment relations, migrant employment, ageing and wellbeing, equity, gender, diversity, diversity management and multiculturalism. She is on the editorial boards of Labour History, Journal. of Management History; Equality, Diversity & Inclusion; Economic and Labour Relations Review; and Relations Industrielles/Industrial Relations. In 2019 she was one of the Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence for Diversity.
